It’s not as easy as it looks

… or maybe it’s quite a bit easier.  I can’t decide.

Here’s the deal.  The fruit/veg cleanse didn’t work out so well.  I mean… it worked out great temporarily.  The whole adding other stuff back into my diet bit… that’s where the problem was.  After a whole lot of thought, I took the plunge.

I’ve gone gluten free.  And I’m feeling great.  Hungry.  But great.

Things are going to be changing around here.  I’ve got a whole host of food-related challenges that go far beyond proper brulee technique (although please note that creme brulee is, indeed, gluten free).  I’m working those out for myself.  And I want you to work them out with me.

Tomorrow is the first day in a long time that I don’t really have anything planned.  A phone date with a friend.  A date with the boyfriend. NOTHING else.  Except a bunch of chores.  And reading.  And a walk.  And maybe the farmer’s market?  These things might not happen.  I tend to lack follow-through.  I’m also on a mission to make gluten free banana bread.  Without gluten free flour.  Because that stuff is expensive.  And I work for a non-profit.  For reals.

I’ve got some tricks up my sleeve.  Will report back.

In the meantime, here’s your job: tell me how I can make really good pizza crust.  Crust that maybe makes me want to eat it instead of just smother it with tomato sauce and cheese and meat and veg.  Please?

Forget making a crust. Whole foods has this amazing gluten-free rosemary infused mix that makes the best. thin. crust. ever.
